A lawyer trained at Nepal Law Campus, Geeta Chaudhary spent years offering free legal aid to those who could not afford it. Her political awakening traces back to the 2006 People's Movement, when she joined student protests for democracy and civil rights. Elected to the House of Representatives from the Rastriya Swatantra Party's proportional list in 2026, she was sworn in as a minister that March — first holding Forests and Environment, then Agriculture and Livestock Development, before the two were merged into a single Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment in May 2026.नेपाल ल क्याम्पसबाट कानून पढेकी गीता चौधरीले वर्षौंसम्म असहायहरूलाई निःशुल्क कानूनी सेवा दिइन्। २०६३ सालको जनआन्दोलनदेखि नै उनको राजनीतिक चेतना सुरु भएको थियो, जब उनले प्रजातन्त्र र नागरिक अधिकारका लागि विद्यार्थी आन्दोलनमा सहभागिता जनाइन्। राष्ट्रिय स्वतन्त्र पार्टीको समानुपातिक सूचीबाट २०२६ मा प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्यमा निर्वाचित भएपछि, सोही मार्चमा उनले मन्त्री पदको शपथ लिइन् — पहिले वन तथा वातावरण, त्यसपछि कृषि तथा पशुपन्छी विकास मन्त्रालयको जिम्मेवारी सम्हालिन्, जुन मे २०२६ मा एकीकृत कृषि, वन तथा वातावरण मन्त्रालयमा गाभियो।
